Do you have an official license? When you install Protos on your computer using a CD sent by us, you can request an installation code from the registration page on our website. In order to receive this installation code, you must first enter your license code. You receive this at the same time as you receive the Protos CD.

Uninstall Protos via Start > Control Panel > Add or remove software, then select Protos. To re-install Protos, your license code must first be issued. You can contact the Service Desk for this.
You can then use your license code to get an installation code from our registration page. You can now re-install Protos. If you are installing Protos Personal, you have to replace the previously secured protos.db with the new protos.db.

My computer crashed so I want to re-install Protos. How do I do that?

I receive the message that I am using an illegal version.
Protos is probably installed for another user, and you are logging in with the wrong name. In other words: Protos can only be accessed by the person whose login was used during the installation.
